Our research

OUr teaching and RESEARCH spans over 20 years

Vanessa and Christine have published 19 peer reviewed articles to date and our research has been presented at numerous regional, national and international conferences. Our areas of investigation are aphasia, traumatic brain injury, minimally conscious state, motor speech disorders, cognitive communication impairment, severe communication impairment, FIM, CANS, clinical outcomes in speech pathology and models of clinical practise for rehabilitation.

In addition, we are invited authors contributing to the key teaching text for social communication disorders following traumatic brain injury.

We are proud that our work in development of the Model for Assessing Treatment Efficacy is used as a key teaching tool for the American College of Rehabilitation medicine. This research has also resulted in numerous conference presentations.
